Meditation is the mental process you engage your mind in, that activates the relaxation response in the body. There are many types of meditation. Some require a lot of focus, some require some focus and some require little focus…
In this course I will teach you “Effortless meditation” which is a meditation technique that requires very little focus while offering huge benefits!
The main concept of this type of mediation is that the mental state of ‘Meditation’ is a natural state for the mind, just like sleep is. The more you try to ‘get there’ the harder it gets (just like sleep ;-) ). In effortless meditation you just allow the mind to find its way ‘home’ to this state, trusting that it will.
Everything in this type of mediation is effortless: your position, your attitude, your mind floating in and out of thought, emotions coming and going, sensations in your body, noises in your environment… This is ALL part of your meditation! There is NO forcing, NO keeping focus, NO aiming for a ‘good’ mediation and there is NO aiming for a still mind or to let go of your thoughts.…
My intention is to help you have a regular, daily, meditation practice and to feel the immediate benefits of doing so. I will show you that meditation is not 'difficult' - as many people think - and will teach you how to meditate effortlessly. Five sessions AND access to your own App will help and inspire you to meditate daily for the 30 days allowing you to experience the calming, stress reducing effects of a regular meditation practice, which I know will change your life!
At the end of this course, you will have established your own 'self directed' practice. Because of this you will sleep better, feel more in control of your emotions, feel physically healthier, be less reactive, and have better relationships with the people around you.
Prerequisites for this course: A willingness to meditate twice daily for 20 minutes.
This course will give you a deep understanding of how meditation works, removing the 'mystery' of this practice. My experience is that once you understand the principles better it's easier to maintain the practice.

100% attendance is required for the best result and meditating with the App will help you to create a solid foundation to establish your practice!
Each session will be recorded so you will be able to view all the sessions online at a time that is convenient to you. This course is competency-based, which means there is no pass or fail.
You will need a device that connects to Zoom (either a smartphone or laptop), internet connection, a notebook and a pen for making notes, and a comfortable place in your home for each session.
For the practices you need a comfortable seat (can be on a chair), perhaps a bolster or firm pillow and a blanket.
Anneriek has meditated regularly for over 20 years and is a registered level 2 meditation teacher. She is an experienced teacher trainer and is very passionate about meditation, Her dream is for everybody to enjoy meditating and receive the benefits of a daily meditation practice.

A $100 non-refundable deposit is due upon acceptance into the course.
Final balance is due 4 weeks before the start of the course.
For cancellations more than 4 weeks prior to commencement, all fees will be refunded less the $100 non-refundable deposit.
For cancellations within 4 weeks prior to commencement date, no refund will be given.
I finally can say "I meditated" and "I can meditate" - this course taught me so much about how meditation could work for me and it was ok to drift off to sleep in some of them or not be fully still. In actual fact I was able to resolve some past childhood trauma in one of the sessions. I finally felt that state of euphoria that people often talk about with meditation that I'd never experienced before. This course has taught me so much...
